The Cancer Support Center provides FREE comprehensive resources that help people improve their quality of life during the cancer experience. The Center was formed in 1994, when six Southland women worked together to open a home-like center, now with two locations, Homewood and Mokena, for people in more than 70 Chicago Southland and Northwest Indiana communities. In 2010, The Center provided over 11,000 service hours with over 9,000 visits by individuals and families facing a cancer diagnosis. All programs are facilitated by experienced clinical professionals, and our services always are free of charge to anyone affected by cancer: the person with cancer, loved ones, friends and bereaved of all ages. The Cancer Support Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Visit The Cancer Support Center’s website at cancersupportcenter.org for further information.
